What the role will involve
n
As a Civil Water Operator, you'll be responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of water infrastructure, including:
n
n
Construction, maintenance and repair of water mains and pipelines
n
Responding to water network faults, leaks and service interruptions
n
Operating plant, equipment and tools safely and effectively
n
Conducting inspections and preventative maintenance activities
n
Performing excavation, reinstatement and civil maintenance works
n
Assisting with emergency response and after-hours call-outs as required
n
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with operational procedures
n
n
About you
n
For this role,
we are looking for great talent with:
n
n
Experience in civil construction, utilities, water operations or a related field
n
Knowledge of water sampling, chlorination and water quality monitoring
n
Current WA Driver's Licence
n
Experience operating plant and equipment relevant to civil maintenance activities
n
Strong commitment to safety and working within established procedures
n
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
n
Practical problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
n
Certificate II & III Water Industry Operations qualifications or willingness to obtain them
n
Hold certifications in Confined Space, Chlorine Handling, or Working at Heights? Great! If not, you'll invest in your development and provide the training you need to succeed in the role
