We're looking for a Water Engineering Metro Manager to lead a team of talented engineers and technical specialists responsible for supporting the performance, reliability and resilience of one of Western Australia's most critical water networks.

About the role
n
This role provides an chance to influence the future direction of operational engineering in Treatment and Resource Recovery (TaRR) across the Integrated Water Supply Scheme (IWSS), while leading a capable team of engineers and technical specialists responsible for supporting asset performance, risk management and operational decision making.
n
Reporting to the Manager Integration & Optimisation, you will provide leadership and direction to the Conveyance Operational Engineering team, ensuring engineering advice, asset risk management and operational performance activities support safe, reliable and efficient service delivery.

What you can expect with this role
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Leading a team of engineers and technical specialists.
n
Supporting the development of asset performance, reliability and risk management practices.
n
Providing technical leadership for complex operational and asset issues.
n
Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Asset Management and Project Delivery teams.
n
Supporting implementation of the Risk to Delivery framework and associated improvement initiatives.
n
Building capability within the team and strengthening relationships across the business.
n
Ensuring engineering activities align with business priorities and operational outcomes.
n

About you
n
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:

A degree qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
n
Extensive experience within water operations, engineering or asset management environments.
n
Enjoys leading and developing people.
n
Can build credibility and influence across multiple stakeholder groups.
n
Is comfortable balancing strategic thinking with practical operational outcomes.
n
Has a passion for improving asset performance, reliability and risk management.
n
Can work collaboratively across teams to achieve shared outcomes.
n
Previous people leadership experience is desirable but not essential for candidates who can demonstrate strong leadership capability and influence.
