We are seeking a passionateStrengthening Families Practitionerto join our team based inFrankston, supporting families across theBayside Peninsula catchment area.
This role provides an opportunity to work directly with children, young people and families experiencing vulnerability and complex needs.
Using a strengths-based and family-centred approach, you will support families to build capacity, strengthen relationships, reduce risk and achieve positive outcomes.
About the role




Deliver child-focused, family-centred interventions that promote safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes
Engage with children, young people and families using culturally responsive and strengths-based approaches
Complete assessments, planning, interventions and reviews in partnership with families and key stakeholders
Support families to develop skills, resilience and stronger relationships
Apply evidence-informed practice approaches including relational practice, motivational interviewing, Safe & TogetherTM and MARAM
Work collaboratively with Child Protection, community services and other professionals to support coordinated responses
Maintain high-quality case records, assessments and outcome reporting
Participate in supervision, reflective practice and ongoing professional development
About you
You are a passionate practitioner who is committed to improving outcomes for children and families and brings experience working within the child and family services sector.
A tertiary qualification inSocial Work, Psychology, Community Services or a related discipline
Experience working with vulnerable children, young people and families
Understanding of child safety, risk assessment and family support practice
Experience engaging families experiencing complexity and vulnerability
Experience working alongside Child Protection or statutory services
Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills
The ability to work flexibly to meet family and service needs




Current Working with Children Check
National Police Check (and International Police Check where applicable)
Current Driver's Licence and access to reliable transport
Completion of mandatory training upon commencement
