ABOUT THE ROLE
n
We're looking for a warm, energetic and experienced Casual Coffee Bar Assistant to join our vibrant Village Coffee Bar.
n
Our Coffee Bar is a popular gathering place for residents, visitors and team members, so this is a role for someone who loves people as much as they love coffee!
n
You'll be part of a busy Village Team, preparing quality coffees and beverages, serving light meals and creating a friendly experience for everyone who walks through the door.
n
This is a rapid-paced role, so you'll need to be someone who:

Knows their coffee and has solid barista skills
n
Thrives when it's busy and can keep things moving without compromising quality
n
Loves customer service and enjoys chatting with people
n
Works well as part of a team but can also confidently take initiative
n




Enjoys creating genuine connections with older people and their families

Job Description
n
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
n
Your day will be a mix of great coffee, great service and plenty of interaction.
n
You'll:
n
n
Prepare and serve high-quality coffees, beverages and light meals
n
Provide warm, friendly and professional service to residents, families and visitors
n
Process EFTPOS and cash transactions accurately
n
Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic coffee bar and kitchen
n
Restock ingredients and supplies
n
Work closely with the Coffee Bar Team Leader and Catering Team
n
Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
n
Keep calm, organised and positive during busy periods
n
n
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
n
n
Confidence preparing and presenting quality coffee and beverages
n
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
n
Excellent customer service and communication skills
n
Confidence with EFTPOS and cash handling
n
Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
n
A positive, friendly and team-focused attitude
n
Great availability across our operating hours
n
Hospitality or barista qualifications
n
Experience in a café, hotel, retirement village or aged care environment
n
n

AVAILABILITY
n
Our Coffee Bar operates 7 days a week, with shifts operating between 7:00am – 2:30pm.
n




We are particularly interested in candidates who have strong availability across a range of days and are able to work weekends as required.
