Roster:
Morning, late and night shifts, including weekends and on-call duties
About the Facility
This is a low-risk Level 2 birthing facility supporting approximately ***** births each year. The service also provides outpatient care to women whose pregnancies may be considered too high-risk to birth locally.
You will join a close-knit team of eight midwives, one obstetrician and one paediatrician.
One midwife is rostered per shift, so applicants must be confident working independently. Additional support is available from the on-call midwife when required, and two midwives are present for every birth.
Shift Times
Morning: 7:0 am-3:30 pm
Late: 1:30 pm-10:00 pm
Night: 9:30 pm-7:30 am
On-call duties are required
Essential Requirements
Current dual registration as a Registered Nurse and Midwife with AHPRA
Recognised degree-level qualification in nursing and midwifery
FSEP Level 3 Practitioner certification
Strong midwifery experience
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Ability and confidence to work independently
Demonstrated commitment to woman- and family-centred care
Flexible and cutting-edge approach to practice
Commitment to providing evidence-based care
Current police check issued within the past 12 months
Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
Current immunisation history and/or supporting serology results
