Bearspace is a growing architecture and design practice based in Brisbane, entering an exciting stage of expansion through a new partnership with an established Victorian architectural practice.

We are seeking a Registered Architect, Senior Architect or Associate who is interested in becoming part of that growth and helping shape the next stage of the architectural practice in Queensland.
n
For someone currently based in Melbourne, this is an opportunity to take the experience you have developed in an established market and bring it into a city where so much is happening and there is significant opportunity ahead.

The practice works collaboratively across the full project lifecycle, giving the team exposure from early concept and design development through to documentation, approvals, construction and delivery.

The Opportunity
n




We are open to shaping this role based on experience, with opportunities from Registered Architect through to Associate level.
n
You Will Be Involved In
n
n
Leading and contributing to projects from concept through to construction
n
Working across both smaller and larger-scale projects
n
Design development and technical documentation
n
Coordinating consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
n
Building and managing client relationships
n
Managing projects independently at a senior level, or developing toward this capability
n
Supporting and mentoring Architects, Graduates and Designers
n
Contributing to design reviews and broader studio discussions
n
Becoming increasingly involved in proposals, tenders and new project opportunities
n
Building your professional network across Brisbane and Queensland
n
Developing your business development capability
n
Helping shape the continued growth of the Brisbane architectural team
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
n
Is registered in Australia
n
Has strong architectural design and project delivery experience
n
Is confident working across both design and documentation
n
Can contribute to or lead projects through multiple stages
n
Has strong Revit capability
n
Has a good understanding of Australian construction, NCC and regulatory requirements
n
Has solid communication and collaboration skills
n
Is confident working with clients, consultants and project stakeholders
n
Enjoys supporting and mentoring others
n
Takes ownership of their work and is motivated to continue growing
n
n




You may currently be working as an Architect, Senior Architect, Senior Project Architect or Associate.
n
You do not need to already have an established Queensland client network.
n
