Job Description
AreyouaqualifiedMaintenanceFitterwhotakesprideinkeepingproductionequipmentreliable,safeandperformingatitsbest?
ThispermanentopportunitywithanestablishedFMCGmanufacturingoperationissuitedtoanexperiencedmechanicalmaintenanceprofessionalwhounderstandsthedemandsofahigh-volumeproductionenvironment.
Theroleisaboutmorethanrespondingwhenmachinerybreaksdown.Youwillbeinvolvedinpreventativemaintenance,mechanicalfaultdiagnosis,equipmentreliabilityandongoingimprovementsthathelpkeepproductionrunningefficiently.
Wearelookingforcandidateswithgenuinetradequalificationsandhands-onindustryexperience.Candidatecredentials,qualificationsandexperiencewillbeassessedaspartoftherecruitmentprocess,helpingconnecttherighttechnicalprofessionalwiththerightlong-termopportunity.

Wearelookingforcandidateswithgenuinetradequalificationsandhands-onindustryexperience.Candidatecredentials,qualificationsandexperiencewillbeassessedaspartoftherecruitmentprocess,helpingconnecttherighttechnicalprofessionalwiththerightlong-termopportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Performpreventativeandscheduledmaintenanceacrossproductionmachineryandfixedplant
Respondtomechanicalbreakdownsandrestoreequipmenttosafeoperatingcondition
Diagnosemechanicalfaultsandidentifytheunderlyingcauseofequipmentfailures
Maintainconveyors,pumps,gearboxes,motors,bearingsandpneumaticsystems




Inspectmachineryandidentifypotentialmechanicalissuesbeforebreakdownsoccur
Supportproductionteamsbyreducingunplanneddowntime
Completemachinerychangeoversandassistwithequipmentupgrades
Contributetoreliabilityimprovementsandcontinuousimprovementinitiatives
Maintainaccuratemaintenancereportsandservicerecords
Workcloselywithproductionandmaintenancepersonneltomaintainequipmentperformance
Followworkplacehealthandsafetyrequirementsandsiteprocedures
Complywithrelevantfoodmanufacturingandhygienestandards
Promotesafe,reliableandefficientmaintenancepractices
Requirements & Eligibility
CertificateIIIinEngineering–MechanicalTrade,MechanicalFittingorequivalent
ProvenexperienceworkingasaMaintenanceFitter
PreviousFMCG,foodmanufacturingorhigh-volumeproductionexperience
Strongmechanicaltroubleshootingandfault-findingskills
Experienceworkingwithautomatedproductionmachineryandfixedplant
Practicalknowledgeofpreventativemaintenancesystems
Abilitytodiagnoseproblemsandimplementeffectivemechanicalsolutions
Strongcommitmenttoworkplacesafetyandequipmentreliability
Abilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofamultidisciplinaryteam
Goodcommunicationandproblem-solvingskills
