The Appointment
n
An opportunity now exists for an experienced Senior Health & Hygiene Coordinator to join the Health and Safety team.
n
Reporting to the Health and Safety Superintendent, this role will play a key part in supporting workforce health, injury management, occupational hygiene and health risk management across the operation.
n
This is a hands-on and influential role suited to someone who enjoys combining technical health and hygiene expertise with genuine care for people, proactive problem solving and strong stakeholder engagement.
n
Key Responsibilities Will Include
n

Supporting the health, wellbeing and safety of employees through proactive engagement and practical health initiatives
n
Leading injury management, return-to-work programs and workers compensation processes
n
Developing and implementing strategies focused on injury prevention, fitness for work and overall workforce wellbeing
n
Conducting occupational hygiene monitoring, sampling and exposure assessments
n
Reviewing and analysing health and hygiene data to support risk-based decision making
n
Developing and maintaining Health and Hygiene Management Plans and Health Risk Assessments
n




Identifying occupational health risks and supporting the implementation of effective controls
n
Managing compliance requirements relating to worker health monitoring and medical assessment processes
n
Acting as a key liaison between site, medical advisors, external health professionals and internal stakeholders
n
Supporting continuous improvement across health, hygiene and wellbeing systems
n

The Appointee
n
To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated and experienced health and hygiene professional with a strong understanding of mining environments and a genuine commitment to improving workplace health outcomes.
n
You will bring a balance of technical capability, strong coordination skills and the ability to build trust across all levels of the business.

You Will Also Bring
n
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health, Safety, Hygiene or a related discipline
n
Return-to-Work Coordinator certification
n
Demonstrated experience in a similar health, hygiene or injury management role within an underground mining environment
n
Strong knowledge of injury management, occupational rehabilitation and workers compensation processes
n
Experience with occupational hygiene monitoring, health risk assessments and exposure management
n
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
n
High attention to detail, particularly across compliance, reporting and documentation
n
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
n
A proactive, practical and people-focused approach to health and safety
n
