About The Role
n
As a Graduate Engineer, you'll gain hands‐on exposure across multiple project functions, building a strong understanding of what's required to successfully deliver civil construction projects. Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll support delivery in line with quality, safety, environmental, time and production objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates who completed their degree in June/July **** or are due to graduate in December **** and are looking to launch their career with one of Australia's leading civil contractors.

You'll Get The Opportunity To

learn about drawings, specifications, and workplace health, safety, environmental and quality (HSEQ) requirements for all site‐related activities
n
work as part of a team to ensure core project functions are being delivered,



including purchasing materials, supporting financial functions, submitting progress claims, assisting with quality monitoring and contributing to creating solutions where needed
n
maintain a daily diary outlining details of site meetings, discussions, works performed, and inspections
n
actively participate in training initiatives and skill development programs.
n

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Assisting with site engineering activities in line with project drawings, specifications and HSEQ requirements
n
Supporting the implementation of project quality, safety and environmental management plans
n
Assisting with construction programming, procurement of materials and coordination of site activities
n
Supporting commercial functions including subcontractor progress claims and monthly reporting
n
Assisting with the preparation of project progress claims, variations and extensions of time
n
Monitoring daily site activities to support productivity, quality and cost control
n
Maintaining accurate site records,



including daily diaries, inspections and documentation
n
Participating in training and development initiatives as part of BMD's graduate program
n
n
About You
n
You're a motivated civil engineering graduate who's keen to build a career in construction and gain hands‐on site experience on real projects.
n
You Will Have
n
n
A bachelor's degree in civil engineering recognised by Engineers Australia, completed in June/July **** or due for completion in December ****
n
A genuine interest in site‐based project delivery and road infrastructure construction
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn from experienced industry professionals
n
A safety‐first mindset and commitment to quality outcomes
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
The ability to work effectively within a cooperative project team
n
A current Australian driver's licence or the ability to obtain one
n
Construction White Card or ability to obtain one
n
