About The Role
n
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef Supervisor to join our team at Riverside Gardens.
n
In this role, you will provide hands-on leadership within our kitchen, supporting the team to deliver high-quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals for our residents.
n
Working closely with the broader care and site teams, you will help ensure our kitchen operates efficiently, safely and consistently while maintaining a strong focus on resident choice, dietary requirements and quality food service.
n
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef looking to step into a leadership role where you can make a real difference every day.
n
Based at Riverside Gardens, this is a permanent site-based position with no travel between locations required.

As Chef Supervisor, You Will
n
n
Supervise and support the day-to-day operations of the kitchen
n
Lead, mentor and support kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food service
n
Prepare and oversee nutritious meals that meet the individual needs and preferences of our residents
n
Ensure food is prepared and served in accordance with food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements
n
Support menu planning and ensure meals are prepared according to established menus and dietary requirements
n
Manage food preparation, cooking and presentation to a high standard
n
Assist with stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation
n
Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation
n
Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure residents' dietary and nutritional needs are met
n
Maintain accurate kitchen records and documentation
n
Promote a positive, respectful and collaborative kitchen environment
n
Identify opportunities to improve kitchen processes and the resident dining experience
n
n
About You
n
You'll be a confident and experienced Chef who enjoys leading a team and takes pride in delivering quality food and service.
n
You Will Bring
n
n
Trade qualification as a Chef
n
Proven experience in a Chef Supervisor, Head Chef or similar leadership role
n
Previous experience in aged care is highly regarded
n
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, allergen management and WHS requirements
n
Excellent organisational and time management skills
n
Strong communication and leadership abilities
n
The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
n
A genuine passion for food and creating positive dining experiences
n
A commitment to supporting the dignity, choice and wellbeing of older Australians
