We are working with a leading engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Leader to join their Perth Buildings team.
n
This is a senior technical and client-facing opportunity, working across major healthcare, hospital and complex building projects, with exposure to data centres and other mission-critical environments.
n

Lead mechanical design teams across major hospital, healthcare and data centre projects
n
Manage multiple major projects concurrently from concept through to delivery
n
Provide technical leadership across mechanical building services, HVAC, cooling systems and services integration
n
Work closely with clients, project teams, contractors and other disciplines to deliver high-quality design outcomes
n
Oversee design delivery, technical reviews, project governance and coordination
n
Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior clients and project stakeholders
n
Mentor and develop engineers and designers within the mechanical team
n
Contribute to project strategy, technical solutions, risk management and value engineering
n
Support business development and the continued growth of the Health and Data Centre sectors
n
Play a key role in the delivery of major capital works and technically complex multidisciplinary projects
n

About You
n
n
Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer
n
Approximately *****+ years' industry experience
n




Strong mechanical design experience within an engineering consultancy, ideally with 5-8 years of design experience before moving into management
n
Hospital / healthcare project experience is essential
n
Data centre experience is highly desirable
n
Candidates without direct data centre experience may be considered with significant experience in large-scale cooling systems or other technically complex environments
n
Proven experience leading mechanical design teams and managing multiple projects
n
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
n
Experience taking projects from design through to delivery
n
Strong understanding of mechanical building services and services integration
n
Experience across major capital works and complex multidisciplinary projects
n
Australian citizenship required
