NORTHSIX is partnering with an established national transport and logistics business to set up a current operation in Brisbane. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape a new site's growth, working closely with the operational team

Role Summary

This Business Development Manager role will be focused on building new business across Brisbane for a newly established site.

In this role, you will also support the handover of some existing key accounts currently managed interstate, as they transition to local management.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales plans to grow revenue, margin and market share across Queensland
Identify and secure new business through prospecting, customer engagement, site visits and tenders
Build strong relationships with customers, prospects and industry contacts
Work closely with the site's operational team to deliver customer and commercial outcomes
Travel throughout Queensland, with some interstate travel as required, for customer meetings, site visits and business development




Support the transition of existing key accounts as they move to local management

About You
Experience in business development, sales or account acquisition, ideally within transport, logistics, supply chain or a related B2B setting.
Applicants from an operations background who are ready to step into a sales-focused role are also encouraged to apply
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Confident communicator with strong relationship-building and presentation skills
Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of a new site's growth
Current driver's license and willingness to travel regularly, including some interstate travel
