Job Description
A 12 Month Fixed Termcontract opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior HR Business Analyst to join a significant enterprise transformation program within one of Australia's leading and most complex organisations.
The program is currently in its early discovery, preparation and design phases, providing an opportunity to genuinely influence how future HR services, processes and technology will operate.
Rather than simply implementing an existing solution, you will help define the future state first.
The Role
Working within the HR transformation stream, you will partner closely with senior HR stakeholders, business SMEs, program leadership, other Business Analysts and consulting partners.
You will take ownership of discovery and analysis across complex HR processes, helping the organisation understand its current environment and define what the future should look like.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading HR process discovery and requirements gathering
Facilitating workshops with senior HR and business stakeholders
Mapping complex current-state HR processes
Identifying gaps, pain points and opportunities for improvement
Designing and documenting future-state processes
Developing clear business and functional requirements
Supporting work across organisational structures, job architecture and management hierarchies
Challenging existing processes and helping stakeholders think differently
Translating HR requirements into outcomes suitable for a future enterprise HR platform
Working across Australian and international stakeholder groups
Managing analysis activities independently with a high degree of autonomy
About You
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst who combines strong traditional BA capability with genuine HR domain knowledge.
You will ideally bring:
Strong Senior Business Analyst experience within large transformation programs
Excellent process mapping and business process improvement capability
Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
Extensive workshop facilitation experience
Experience working across HR transformation, HRIS, HCM or ERP programs
Valuable understanding of core HR processes and the employee lifecycle
Exposure to areas such as recruitment, onboarding, organisational structures, position management or job architecture
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Experience working within complex or highly decentralised organisations
The ability to operate effectively where processes are unclear or not yet fully documented
Confidence working independently and driving outcomes
Experience with platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM or similar enterprise HR systems would be beneficial, however this role is not focused on one particular technology platform.
What Will Make You Stand Out
The strongest candidates will be able to combine HR expertise, strong Business Analysis fundamentals and a transformation mindset.
We are particularly interested in people who can challenge the way things have traditionally been done while still being pragmatic about what can realistically be implemented.
Previous Higher Education experience would be advantageous, however it is not essential.
Experience within other large and complex environments such as healthcare, government, financial services or major enterprise organisations will also be highly relevant.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to join a major transformation program at an early stage and influence the future direction of HR across a large organisation.
You will work with experienced transformation professionals, senior HR stakeholders and specialist consulting partners while playing a key role in shaping the future HR operating environment.
