About the role
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the development,



coordination and implementation of high-quality occupational therapy services to children and young people with mild to moderate traumatic brain injury and concussion.
AHP1 –
Key duties of the role
Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to patients presenting with concussion and mild to moderate acquired brain injury, and complex rehabilitation needs
Contribute to a positive multi-disciplinary team environment
Skills and Experience
Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Provision and promotion of high quality, efficient and effective Occupational Therapy services
Relevant Paediatric Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation theories and models
AHP2 –

Ability to ensure the provision and promotion of high quality, efficient and effective Occupational Therapy services to children and young people with acquired brain injury and their families.
Experience in working in an acute hospital setting and working with children, adolescents and their caregivers in a health and/or welfare setting
Knowledge of community resources related to the health and welfare of adolescents, children and their caregivers
Knowledge of relevant Occupational Therapy rehabilitation and paediatric theories and models
