Audio Visual, IT & Automation Systems Drafting Specialist

Harvey Norman Commercial Smart Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Audio/Visual, IT and Automation Systems Draftsman Specialist with a passion for learning more about our industry. The draftsman will work with project teams on a multitude of diverse projects utilising general construction and drafting knowledge to assist in preparing AV, IT and AT systems drawings.

About the Role
n
The A/V and Automation Draftsman Specialist is responsible for the creation of systems, architectural and detail drawings, for the purpose of audio/visual and automation systems integration. Assignments are accompanied by rough project notes, sketches and a bill of materials. Work is performed under the guidance of the sales/design team.

Responsibilities
n
n
Prepare AV, IT and Automation signal flow diagrams
n
Prepare AV, IT and Automation equipment elevations and AV plate diagrams
n
Research AV, IT and Automation product information as needed for drawing preparation
n
Incorporate AV, IT and Automation construction-related details into existing architectural drawings, such as electrical requirements and mounting details.
n
Generate construction drawings based on verbal instruction, meeting minutes, field notes, and sketches produces by senior design staff that adhere to company design standards.
n
In office / on site programming of Audio Visual systems
n




In office / on site programming of Automation control system such as Control 4, Savant, RTI.
n
In office / on site programming of lighting control systems Control 4, Kasta, C-Bus
n
Sub-project manage large project programming requirements under guidance from project managers and HADE
n
Security system programming experience (a plus)
n
n
Activities include but are not limited to
n
n
Review and understand project requirements with senior design staff
n
Produce cabinet layouts, and equipment rack elevations
n
Create logic diagrams detailing audio/visual and automation and control system requirements
n
Provide sub-contractor submittals for compliance with design criteria
n
Maintain regular communication with Project Managers and Field Staff for any changes to design or specifications and issue clarifications
n
Assist senior design staff in the creation of bid and review sets
n
Distribute sets where needed to required staff and customers
n
n
