Your new role
n
An opportunity has become available for an Intermediate Accountant to join a growing Business Services team. Working closely with experienced Managers and Partners, you'll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from established SMEs to larger private and family-owned groups. Key responsibilities include:

Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
n
Assisting with tax compliance and business advisory engagements
n
Preparing BAS, IAS and other compliance-related work
n
Building strong relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
n
Supporting senior team members with client projects and business improvement initiatives
n
Developing your technical knowledge across tax and accounting matters
n
n




This role offers broad client exposure and the opportunity to work on more complex business structures than typically found in smaller compliance-focused environments.

What you'll need to succeed
n
To be successful, you'll possess:
n
n
1-3 years' experience within a public practice accounting firm
n
Exposure to business services and tax compliance work
n
Experience working with companies, trusts and business clients
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
A desire to continue developing your technical accounting and tax knowledge
n
Current CA studies, intentions to commence CA, or strong undergraduate accounting qualifications
n
n
Experience working with larger private groups, family-owned businesses and SMEs will be highly regarded.
