Job Description
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Technician to join a leading facilities management team operating within a mission-critical data centre environment in Docklands.

This is an excellent prospect for an experienced HVAC / Mechanical Engineer looking to develop their career within the data centre sector, working on critical cooling and building services infrastructure.
n
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of HVAC and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably within a highly critical environment.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across HVAC and mechanical systems.
n
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs and remedial works.
n
Maintain critical cooling and ventilation infrastructure.
n
Carry out routine inspections, testing and operational checks.
n
Work on AHUs, FCUs, CRAC/CRAH units and associated equipment.
n
Support maintenance of chillers and chilled water systems.
n
Maintain pumps, motors, valves and associated mechanical plant.
n
Monitor BMS and respond to HVAC-related alarms.
n
Assist with temperature, pressure and system performance checks.
n
Identify potential equipment failures and elevate appropriately.
n
Work alongside electrical and critical facilities engineers.
n
Coordinate with specialist contractors when required.
n
Complete maintenance documentation and service reports.
n
Follow site-specific SOPs, RAMS,



Permit to Work and LOTO procedures.
n
Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health & safety and operational requirements.
n
Support emergency response and critical incident procedures where required.
n

Technical Environment

The successful candidate will ideally have experience working with some or all of the following:

CRAC / CRAH units
n
AHUs and FCUs
n
Chilled water systems
n
Pumps and motors
n
Cooling towers
n
HVAC controls
n
BMS
n
Valves and associated mechanical systems
n
General building services
n

About You
n
We're looking for an experienced HVAC / Mechanical Engineer with a background within a data centre, critical environment, commercial, industrial or similarly complex facility.
n
You should have:
n
n
Previous experience as an HVAC Technician, Mechanical Technician, HVAC Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or similar.
n
Strong HVAC and mechanical maintenance experience.
n
Experience with planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
n
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
n
Experience working with critical cooling systems.
n
Good understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work.
n
Experience working to RAMS and Permit to Work procedures.
n
F-Gas certification would be advantageous.
n
A proactive approach to maintenance and fault resolution.
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a technical team.
