Laboratory testing a range of samples within chemistry and microbiology departments

Based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne
n
Seeking an experienced Sample Preparation Officer to join the team
n
6-12 month casual contract
n
Fulltime hours
n
n
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
n
n
Preparation of samples using aseptic technqiues and basic laboratory techniques
n
Assist with outsourcing tasks and maintaining records
n
Troubleshoot problems at receipt
n
Answering & responding to client calls/emails and prioritising urgent jobs
n
Distribute samples and paperwork as required
n
Use of Microsoft Office (Excel, word, Outlook)
n
n
Skills/experience required:
n
n
Tertiary education in Science
n
Must have prior experience working in a laboratory setting
n
Microbial knowledge is an advantage
n
High attention to detail
n
Experience in laboratory data entry
n
Well organisedExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
