About the Role
Join Curtin University as a Fieldwork Administrative Support Officer and play an important role in supporting the successful delivery of student fieldwork placements across the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Reporting to the Fieldwork Manager, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to the fieldwork team, helping to coordinate processes and activities that enable students to undertake valuable placement experiences.
Working collaboratively across the Faculty you will apply your knowledge of administrative processes and procedures, understand how they connect with related areas, and ensure fieldwork activities are supported efficiently and effectively.
This is an prospect to contribute to a team that plays a key role in supporting student learning and professional development.
Your responsibilities will include
Administer mandatory screening documentation required for students undertaking clinical placements, including National Police Clearances, Working with Children Checks, first aid, manual handling, immunisation status and risk assessments
Maintain and update student screening and placement information in SONIA and other relevant systems, ensuring records are accurate and up to date
Coordinate and process placement documentation and records in a timely and accurate manner
Act as the first point of contact for students regarding fieldwork-related queries, providing proactive, accurate and professional support
Coordinate student incidents, including triaging matters via Rise and referring them to the relevant Academic Coordinator
Who we are looking for (selection criteria)
Experience providing administrative support,
with the ability to manage a varied range of tasks and responsibilities
Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively and professionally with a diverse range of people, with cross-cultural sensitivity
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with general direction
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands and meet deadlines
Demonstrated computer literacy, including proficiency in a range of applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and email
Desirable
Previous experience within the higher education sector or the health profession
Role Requirements
As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role
