EL1 Full Stack Engineer - Federal Government Contract: Initial 12 months Clearance: NV1 Level: EL1 Full Stack Engineer

We are seeking an experienced EL1 Full Stack Engineer to join a major Federal Government technology program delivering and supporting complex, business-critical digital systems.
n
This is a senior hands-on engineering opportunity suited to someone with strong AWS, API development, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps expertise who can operate independently while providing technical leadership within an Agile full-stack team.

The Role
n
Working within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, you will design, build, deploy and support applications, integrations and cloud-based solutions. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle while helping ensure solutions meet architectural, integration and engineering standards.
n
Key responsibilities include:
n
n
Design, build, deploy and support complex systems, applications and integrations.
n
Develop scalable cloud solutions within AWS environments.
n
Build complex APIs and backend services using technologies including Golang, TypeScript and Python.
n
Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
n
Work with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm for containerisation and orchestration.
n
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub/GitLab and associated DevOps tooling.
n
Participate in technical design, development, deployment and ongoing code maintenance.
n
Undertake peer code reviews and maintain strong engineering and coding standards.
n
Develop automated unit, component,



integration and functional testing.
n
Collaborate with QA teams on integration and end-to-end testing.
n
Engage with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements and priorities.
n
Provide technical leadership within Agile project teams.
n
n
What We're Looking For
n
To be successful, you will bring robust hands-on engineering experience across:
n
n
AWS infrastructure and cloud services, including designing and managing scalable cloud solutions.
n
Full SDLC delivery, from technical design and development through deployment, code review and long-term maintenance.
n
Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
n
API and service development using Golang, TypeScript and/or Python, including REST and GraphQL.
n
Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
n
DevOps and CI/CD, including GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory, Jira and HashiCorp Vault.
n
Automated testing across unit, component, integration and functional levels.
n
n
Highly regarded experience includes React and TypeScript, WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, PostgreSQL/MySQL, and effective use of AI development tooling and spec-driven development.
