Job Description

Evaluate the financial background and creditworthiness of applicants seeking auto loans or lease financing
n
Review and analyse loan applications, including credit reports, income statements, and other financial documents
n
Assess applicants' ability to repay loans based on credit history, income, employment stability, and debt-to-income ratio
n
Identify potential red flags or high-risk applicants and escalat(e?) as appropriate
n
Make recommendations on loan applications while adhering to policy, procedure, and guidelines
n
Collaborate with sales, operations, and underwriting teams to provide a excellent customer experience
n
Ensure assessments include appropriate research and reflect current policies and standards
n
Liaise with dealer managers, dealerships, POI & Settlements, and Risk stakeholders
n

Requirements

n

n
Prior credit underwriting experience is essential
n
Exposure to consumer and commercial lending is preferred
n
Auto finance industry experience is highly regarded
n
Solid understanding of financial statements, credit reports, and risk assessment tools
n
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
n
Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel,



financial modelling, and other analytical tools
n
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field preferred but not essential
n
