Necessity Health is seeking an experienced Lead Osteopath / Senior Osteopath to join our growing multidisciplinary allied health clinic in the Illawarra region.

This is a senior clinical position suited to an Osteopath with extensive experience who is confident managing complex presentations, mentoring clinicians, and contributing to clinic leadership and service development.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-informed care while supporting team growth, clinical standards, and patient outcomes within a cooperative environment.

We also work closely with our sibling company, Necessity Kids, creating additional opportunities to expand your clinical scope.

Salary: $80,000 - $130,000 per annum plus superannuation (commensurate with experience)

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Conduct advanced osteopathic assessments and manage complex musculoskeletal presentations
n
Deliver high-quality, evidence-informed manual therapy and treatment planning
n
Mentor and support junior clinicians and new graduates
n
Contribute to clinical leadership, team development, and internal training
n




Assist in maintaining high standards of clinical governance and patient care
n
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes
n
Support business growth through caseload development and retention strategies
n
Participate in case reviews, team meetings, and professional development initiatives
n
Minimum 5 years' clinical experience as an Osteopath
n
Demonstrated experience in a senior, lead, or managerial Osteopath role
n
Bachelor or Master's degree in Osteopathy
n
Current general registration with the Osteopathy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
n
Advanced competency in musculoskeletal assessment and manual therapy techniques
n
Proven ability to manage complex cases independently
n
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills
n
Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
n
Commitment to evidence-informed practice and ongoing professional development
n
Experience in paediatrics, pregnancy care, or sports injury management
n
Experience working within a multidisciplinary clinic setting
n
Interest in contributing to service development or clinical education
n
