Hay District Hospital in rural NSW is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department and Acute care team on a 12-week contract basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an in-charge role that will see you leading clinical care across ED, Acute, and Aged Care settings in a busy regional hospital. If you have solid ED or Acute experience, proven in-charge capability, and triage expertise, this is a meaningful opportunity to make an immediate impact in a healthcare setting that values experienced clinical leadership.
In-charge responsibility across ED, Acute, and Aged Care in a regional hospital setting
12-week contract with ASAP start date, offering flexibility and focused clinical work
Lead triage and clinical decision-making in a rapid-paced, high-acuity setting

Preferred Requirements




Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
Demonstrated experience in Emergency Department, Acute, or Aged Care nursing
Proven in-charge experience and ability to lead clinical teams
Triage competency and experience using the Australasian Triage Scale
Robust clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy setting

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent certification
Post-graduate qualification or experience in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care
