We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a well‐established and highly regarded construction business delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across Canberra and the ACT.

The Opportunity
n
You will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of commercial construction projects, working closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Lead the end‐to‐end delivery of commercial construction projects
n
Manage project scope, budgets, programs and key milestones
n
Lead and develop project teams, subcontractors and consultants
n
Manage procurement, subcontractor engagement and project resources
n
Monitor project financial performance and commercial outcomes
n
Manage variations, claims, contracts and commercial negotiations
n
Identify and proactively manage project risks and issues
n
Maintain project programs and ensure key deliverables are achieved
n
Ensure projects are delivered to the required quality, safety and compliance standards
n
Develop strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
n
Provide regular project reporting to senior management
n
Drive a team-oriented,
accountable and high-performance project culture
n

About You
n
We are looking for a Project Manager with a proven track record delivering commercial construction projects, ideally within the Canberra/ACT market.
n
You will have:
n
n
Proven experience as a Project Manager within the commercial construction industry
n
Experience managing projects from commencement through to practical completion
n
Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and commercial management
n
Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, programs and resources
n
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
n
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
n
A proactive approach to project risk and problem solving
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
n
Strong knowledge of Australian construction practices, legislation and WHS requirements
n
