The Role
n
Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll lead the engineering function on a project from concept through to handover. This is a genuine leadership role with full accountability for technical planning, coordination and delivery in line with the Project Execution Plan, plus a clear path into project management.

Your responsibilities will include:
n

Leading engineering coordination across design, methodology and performance specifications
n
Managing shop drawings, calculations, samples and technical submissions for client and consultant approval
n
Cost management - forecasts, variations, cost-to-complete and monthly financial reporting
n
Contract administration - subcontractor agreements, claims, variations and invoice reconciliation
n
Bid coordination and procurement, including subcontractor and supplier engagement
n
Programming,



sequencing and delay resolution
n
QA/QC, ITPs, WHS documentation, site inspections and audits
n
Representing the business in client and consultant meetings
n
Commissioning, closeout and handover documentation
n
Mentoring Project Engineers and Graduate Engineers
n

About You
n
n
Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related)
n
Solid experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer with a head contractor on major projects - exposure across more than one sector is a plus
n
Strong commercial acumen - comfortable with cost reporting, variations and subcontractor management
n
Confident coordinating consultants, subcontractors and site teams and resolving technical issues quickly
n
Experienced with design coordination, document control and RFI management
n
A natural mentor who lifts the standard of the team around them
n
Organised, accountable and clear in your communication
n
