About Role
n
As a member of the Brushcutting team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing green spaces across the Nillumbik Shire Council, working onvarious commercial sites or council-controlled roadsides and open spaces.
n
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work.
n
Responsibilities include:
n
n
Servicing of council parkland and roadside assets across Nillumbik Shire Council
n
Role will include brushcutting, some herbicide application and light horticulture work
n
Operate various equipment safely and efficiently.
n
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
n
Ensure open spaces are maintained to a high standard.
n
Assist with other groundskeeping tasks as needed.
n
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
n
n
About You
n
n
Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related field will be looked upon favourably.
n
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
n
Must have a valid Manual Drivers licence
n




Have a National Police Check & Working with Children's Check (or willing to obtain)
n
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun.
n
Solid work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
n
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
