We are looking for experienced AI Engineers to support a major data and analytics transformation initiative involving the migration of SAS workloads, data processes, and analytical capabilities to Snowflake.
n
The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience in AI/ML, Python, data engineering, SAS, and Snowflake. You will work closely with data architects, engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to modernise existing SAS-based analytical workloads and enable advanced AI and machine learning capabilities on the Snowflake platform.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring the ability to understand existing SAS workloads and translate or modernise them into scalable Snowflake-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Analyse and understand existing SAS programs, workflows, data pipelines, and analytical processes.
n
Support the migration and modernisation of SAS-based workloads to Snowflake.
n
Develop and implement AI and Machine Learning solutions using modern cloud and data platforms.
n
Translate SAS-based data transformation and analytical logic into Snowflake and Python-based solutions.
n
Develop scalable data pipelines and analytical workflows on Snowflake.
n




Build and deploy AI/ML models where required as part of the modernisation initiative.
n
Work with Data Architects and Snowflake Architects to design scalable and high-performing solutions.
n
Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks between legacy SAS and Snowflake environments.
n
Optimise data processing, SQL queries, and Snowflake workloads.
n
Support testing and validation of migrated applications and analytical processes.
n
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand existing SAS processes and transformation requirements.
n
Identify opportunities to automate and improve existing analytical workflows using AI and Machine Learning.
n
Document migration approaches, technical designs, and implementation processes.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
n
n
Strong hands-on experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar role.
n
Hands-on experience with AI and Machine Learning technologies.
n
Strong programming experience in Python.
n
Experience working with Snowflake.
n
Experience with data engineering, data pipelines, and data transformation.
n
Experience understanding or working with SAS-based data and analytical workloads.
n
Experience with data migration and modernisation projects.
