Are you an experienced, self-motivated Handyperson with a passion for hospitality? Mercure Sydney Parramatta is currently hiring a Handyperson to join our dynamic team.

Located just minutes from Parramatta CBD and directly across from Rosehill Racecourse, our hotel serves a diverse mix of business and leisure travelers. As the Handyperson, you will play an essential role in maintaining the hotel’s facilities to ensure a safe, comfortable and well-presented setting for our guests and team.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is responsible for:
Undertaking general repairs and maintenance as well as preventative maintenance throughout the Hotel.
Complete daily plant rounds and servicing of plant and general equipment as directed.
Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly.
Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Property management System (PMS).
Assist in keeping up-to-date records on the repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.





Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance activities.

What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a similar role or hospitality environment is an advantage but not essential
The ability to work both unsupervised and in a team environment.
Attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to working rotating shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Good organisational and multitasking skills.
