Job Description
As a Technology Controls Manager, reporting to the Director Controls and Testing and Compliance, you will lead defined controls testing with a focus on Technology controls.
n
The role will ensure that compliance and operational risks are effectively identified, assessed managed, while supporting The Star Sydney in meeting its regulatory requirements.
n
This is a fantastic opportunity where you can put your skills and knowledge to the test to deliver a thrilling new era for our Risk and Compliance team on a 12-month contract.
n
A few of your responsibilities:
n
n
Lead walkthroughs to identify, document, and assess technology, cyber, and data risk, including obligations and controls
n
Execute technology control testing to evaluate design, effectiveness, residual risk, and compliance with frameworks and regulatory requirements
n
Drive improvements to obligations and controls to strengthen the risk management environment
n
Escalate key technology, cyber, and data risk issues to relevant governance forums
n
n
What we are looking for:
n
n
Strong understanding of technology operational risk and controls in large, complex, regulated environments
n
Minimum 6 years' experience in technology risk management
n
Knowledge of audit and assessment standards (e.g. CISA, CRISC)
n
Familiarity with cyber security frameworks (e.g. NIST, Essential 8, ISO *****, PCI DSS)
n
Solid governance and stakeholder management skills
n
Strong problem-solving capability
n
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
n
n

You are an experienced technology risk skilled with a strong understanding of operational risk and controls in large, complex, and highly regulated environments.
n
You are confident navigating governance structures and building strong relationships with stakeholders,
enabling you to influence outcomes and drive effective risk management practices.
