We are partnering with a regulated Australian financial services organisation to appoint a Technology Continuity & Resilience Senior Manager to take ownership of its enterprise Technology Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Technology Resilience capability.
n
You will own the end-to-end technology resilience framework across infrastructure, applications, cloud platforms, SaaS and data, ensuring critical technology services are recoverable, regularly tested and aligned with APRA CPS 230 requirements.
n
The role will work closely with Engineering, Architecture, Infrastructure, Cloud, Cyber Security, Risk, Compliance and senior executives.
n
What you'll be responsible for
n
Disaster Recovery Strategy & Architecture
n
n
Own and continuously improve the enterprise Disaster Recovery strategy
n
Define appropriate DR architecture patterns, including active-active, pilot light, warm standby and cold standby
n
Embed resilience and recovery requirements into technology architecture, cloud transformation, infrastructure and change programs
n
Ensure appropriate backup, replication, failover, recovery and redundancy across critical Tier 1 and Tier 2 systems
n
Partner with Architecture and Engineering teams to build resilience into technology by design
n
Design and lead an enterprise Disaster Recovery testing program
n
Run tabletop exercises, component recovery tests, parallel testing, live failover and failback
n
Test realistic scenarios including: ransomware and cyber incidents, data centre outages, cloud platform failures, infrastructure failures, SaaS outages
n




Validate and report against RTO and RPO
n
Identify recovery gaps, risks and remediation activities
n
n
Business Continuity & Operational Resilience
n
n
Own and maintain the technology Business Continuity Management framework
n
Support compliance with APRA CPS 230
n
Lead and support Business Impact Assessments (BIA)
n
Define critical services, dependencies and operational tolerances
n
Maintain continuity plans and critical operations registers
n
Provide clear resilience reporting to executive and board-level stakeholders
n
n
Incident & Crisis Management
n
n
Act as a senior Technology Disaster Recovery Lead during major incidents
n
Support Severity 1 / Severity 2 incident response and recovery
n
Coordinate technology recovery across infrastructure, cloud, applications and vendors
n
Lead post-incident reviews and drive ongoing improvements in resilience capability
n
n
Third-Party & Cloud Resilience
n
n
Assess the resilience and DR capability of critical technology vendors and service providers
n
Lead joint recovery testing with strategic third parties
n
Challenge supplier BCP, DR, RTO and RPO arrangements
n
Ensure resilience across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud / GCP, SaaS and hybrid environments
n

Technical exposure
n
Hands-on knowledge or solid familiarity with technologies such as:
n
n
Networking & Failover: DNS, BGP, load balancing
n
Recovery: replication, backup, failover/failback, high availability, RTO, RPO
n
Frameworks & Regulation: APRA CPS 230, ISO *****, ITIL
n
n
