ROLE – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (HVAC)

SALARY - $130,000 - $150,000 per annum, dependent on experience
n
TYPE – Permanent

LOCATION – Sydney, NSW

My client is an established engineering business delivering specialist HVAC and mechanical engineering solutions across a range of projects. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in HVAC to join their team in Sydney on a permanent basis.
n
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
n
n
At least 5 years of experience in a similar Mechanical Design Engineering position
n
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
n
Strong mechanical engineering and design skills
n
Previous experience working with HVAC systems and mechanical services
n
Strong experience with mechanical HVAC design and engineering
n
Previous experience working across commercial, industrial or building services projects
n
Experience conducting site investigations and assessing existing HVAC systems
n
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment and mechanical services
n
Positive understanding of relevant Australian standards, regulations and building codes
n
Experience working with contractors and construction teams
n




Strong practical understanding of HVAC installation, testing and commissioning
n
Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets
n
Able to work well individually as well as part of a team
n
n
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
n
n
Undertaking mechanical design and producing detailed engineering documentation, with a strong focus on HVAC systems
n
Conducting site investigations and assessing existing mechanical and HVAC systems
n
Developing mechanical and HVAC solutions from concept through to detailed design
n
Preparing technical specifications, drawings and engineering reports
n
Working closely with architects, engineers, contractors and other project stakeholders
n
Providing engineering support throughout the construction phase
n
Reviewing drawings, technical documentation and contractor submissions
n
Attending project sites to monitor installation and resolve technical issues
n
Managing testing, balancing, commissioning and handover of HVAC systems
n
Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with relevant standards and specifications
n
Working in a multi-disciplinary team across a variety of projects
n
