The Role
n
Our client is seeking an experienced **Electrical & Mechanical Service Technician** to join their team. The role will split time between workshop/factory-based work at their Thomastown site and field service at client locations.
n
The primary focus will be keeping high-speed packaging lines and winery processing equipment operating at peak efficiency, with a solid emphasis on **electrical troubleshooting, automation, pumps and mechanical equipment**.
n
Occasional regional travel will be required for installations, commissioning, scheduled maintenance and emergency breakdowns.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Testing, repairs, pre-commissioning and maintenance of equipment in the workshop.
n
Diagnose and repair electrical faults on beverage machinery.
n
Connect to,
diagnose and modify **PLC programs** to optimise equipment performance.
n
Service, rebuild and troubleshoot various pumps, including centrifugal, positive displacement and rotary lobe pumps.
n
Maintain fluid transfer systems and associated equipment.
n
Travel to regional client sites for installations, commissioning and maintenance.
n

What We're Looking For
n
n
Strong electrical background with a relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience.
n
Ability to read and interpret **electrical diagrams, P&IDs; and technical manuals**.
n
Experience with pump and equipment maintenance.
n
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
n
Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and as part of a workshop team.
n
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel and work away from home when required.
n
Exposure to refrigeration chillers and glycol systems is advantageous but not essential.
n
