$95,000 - $110,000 + commission + super + potential pathway to ownership

Sunday HR is partnering with an established and growing taxation and business advisory firm to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant for its Bendigo team.
n
This is more than a traditional Senior Accountant opportunity. For the right person, there is a genuine longer-term pathway to ownership, making this particularly suited to someone looking for a firm they can grow with and potentially have a stake in over time.
n
Working directly with the Directors, you'll manage a diverse portfolio across taxation, accounting and business advisory, build strong client relationships and have the autonomy to manage your work from commencement through to completion.
n
The role
n
As Senior Accountant, you'll manage client work from commencement through to completion, building strong relationships and providing practical advice tailored to each client's circumstances.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Preparing and reviewing financial statements for companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs, small to medium businesses and individuals
n
Preparing and reviewing income tax returns, BAS and other taxation and statutory lodgements
n
Providing practical taxation and tax planning advice
n
Supporting clients with business structuring, cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
n
Managing client work, priorities and deadlines
n
Building trusted client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
n
Identifying opportunities to provide broader taxation, accounting and advisory support
n
Working collaboratively with the Directors and wider team
n
n
About you
n
You'll be an experienced public practice accountant who is technically capable,
comfortable taking ownership of client work and enjoys developing strong relationships with the people and businesses you support.
n
You'll bring:
n
n
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
n
A minimum of four years' relevant experience within Australian public practice accounting
n
Experience preparing financial statements and taxation compliance work across a range of entity types
n
Strong working knowledge of Australian taxation and relevant regulatory requirements
n
Confidence managing multiple client engagements, priorities and deadlines
n
Strong communication and client relationship skills
n
Proficiency with Xero or similar accounting software
n
n
CA or CPA designation, or progress toward achieving it, will be highly regarded, as will experience providing business advisory services.
n
