Role Description
One of the organisations we currently support is seeking a part time Governance & Compliance Officer to help strengthen governance, quality systems and compliance across the organisation.
Two days a week, on-site at the Sydney-based Supported Independant Living facility.
This is a hands-on role supporting audit-ready documentation, governance processes, policy implementation and continuous improvement.
You'll work closely with operational teams to help ensure service delivery aligns with the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements.
The position is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex work, has exceptional attention to detail, and wants to contribute to safe, high-quality service delivery.
Previous NDIS governance experience is welcomed, but the organisation is also happy to support the right person to build their knowledge over time.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain organisational compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards.
Support incident reporting and safeguarding processes.
Assist with internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Review, update and maintain policies, procedures and registers.
Support staff with compliance documentation and training records.
Prepare evidence and documentation for external audits.
Monitor organisational risks and contribute to governance reporting.
About You
You'll thrive in this role if you have:
Outstanding attention to detail
Excellent organisation and record-keeping skills
Strong written and verbal communication
Sound judgement, reliability and discretion
Confidence working with documentation, spreadsheets and systems
The ability to interpret written standards and apply them consistently
Experience in governance, compliance, quality assurance or NDIS
Familiarity with the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct
An interest in developing your career in governance and compliance
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
National Police Check
Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
