Role Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Quality and Excellence Manager to join a well-established organisation within the aged care and Home Care sector.
Reporting to the Executive Manager of Home Care, you will provide leadership across quality, compliance, risk, clinical governance and continuous improvement.
You will lead a small quality and continuous improvement function, working closely with senior leaders and operational teams to strengthen systems, ensure regulatory compliance and drive practical improvements across service delivery.
This is a hands-on senior role suited to someone who can quickly understand a complex environment, identify priorities and confidently implement improvements.
About the Person
We are seeking an experienced quality, compliance or clinical governance professional with a strong background in aged care and ideally Home Care or community-based services.
You will be confident operating at a senior level and working with stakeholders across an organisation.
You will bring strong knowledge of the Australian aged care regulatory environment and be comfortable interpreting requirements, analysing data and identifying opportunities to strengthen quality and compliance.
This prospect would suit someone who is practical, solutions-focused and able to build relationships quickly, influence positive change and hit the ground running in a contract environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead quality, compliance,
risk and continuous improvement activities across Home Care
Ensure compliance with relevant aged care legislation, regulations and quality standards
Lead regulatory reporting, audit preparation and responses to external regulatory bodies
Oversee internal audits, quality plans, improvement plans and corrective actions
Monitor and analyse clinical, operational and quality data to identify trends and risks
Prepare reports, dashboards and information for senior leadership and governance committees
Support the management of incidents, complaints, investigations and reportable events
Review, improve and implement systems, processes, policies and quality controls
Support regulatory and accreditation processes
Provide quality and compliance advice to senior leaders and operational teams
Lead and coordinate the Quality and Continuous Improvement function
Directly manage one support team member and provide coaching and mentoring
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Tertiary qualification in Nursing, Allied Health or another relevant clinical discipline
Current AHPRA registration, ideally as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated experience in quality management, compliance and/or clinical governance
Strong understanding of the Australian aged care regulatory environment
Experience within Home Care or community-based aged care
Experience across regulatory reporting, audits, risk management and quality assurance
Demonstrated ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives
Strong data analysis, reporting and project management skills
Experience implementing or improving systems, processes and frameworksStrong leadership, communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Excellent problem-solving, judgement and decision-making skills
Ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running in a contract environment
