Job Description
An opportunity exists for an experienced tax professional to take ownership of tax compliance, reporting and advisory activities within a complex financial services environment.
n
This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the detail while partnering with stakeholders across finance and the broader business. You will be responsible for managing a broad range of tax obligations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining strong controls and providing practical advice on tax related matters.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review corporate income tax, GST, FBT, PAYG and withholding tax obligations
n
Manage tax reporting, provisions, deferred tax calculations and reconciliations
n
Oversee regulatory and statutory tax reporting requirements
n
Support transfer pricing, tax governance and related documentation
n
Assess the tax impact of new products, transactions and business initiatives
n
Liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and regulatory bodies
n
Monitor legislative changes and communicate impacts to key stakeholders
n
Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency and compliance
n

About You
n
n
CA or CPA qualified
n
Strong tax experience gained within financial services, banking, professional services or another complex environment
n
Sound knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards
n
Experience across both tax compliance and tax reporting
n
Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem solving skills
n
Ability to communicate technical tax matters clearly to both finance and non finance stakeholders
n
Hands on approach with a strong attention to detail
n
