As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead our crews across local, DIDO and FIFO projects.

About the Role
n
Reporting to the Project Manager and Operations Manager, the Construction Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
n
The successful applicant will lead site crews, subcontractors and plant operators while maintaining excellent client relationships and ensuring compliance with all safety, environmental and contractual requirements.
n
This role will involve working across local projects as well as DIDO and FIFO projects throughout Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Supervise daily construction activities across civil construction projects.
n
Lead and mentor site crews, subcontractors and plant operators.
n
Coordinate labour, plant, equipment and materials.
n
Read and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
n
Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved methodologies.
n
Monitor project productivity and programme performance.
n
Conduct daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks.
n
Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety legislation.
n
Implement and monitor Environmental Management Plans.
n
Complete quality assurance inspections and documentation.
n
Coordinate survey requirements and construction set-out.
n
Liaise professionally with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
n
Manage subcontractor performance and site coordination.
n
Maintain accurate daily site records, diaries and progress reports.
n
Identify and resolve construction issues before they impact project delivery.
n
Promote a positive safety culture and strong team environment.
n

Skills & Experience
n
Essential
n
n
Minimum 5 years' experience supervising civil construction projects.
n
Strong background in earthworks, drainage and civil infrastructure.
n
Experience supervising multiple trades and subcontractors.
n
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
n
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
n
Sound understanding of civil construction methodologies.
n
Solid planning and organisational skills.
n
Current Construction White Card.
n
Current Driver Licence.
n
Ability to work away from home on FIFO and DIDO rosters.
n

Highly Regarded
n
n
Certificate IV in Civil Construction or equivalent.
n
Diploma of Civil Construction.
n
QBCC Licence or Nominated Supervisor experience.
n
Traffic Management qualifications.
n
First Aid Certificate.
n
Confined Space.
n
Working at Heights.
n
Plant operating experience.
n
GPS machine control knowledge.
n
Environmental rehabilitation experience.
n
