We're looking for an experienced Mathematics Teacher who wants to bring their expertise, creativity and real-world perspective into a school environment that is genuinely different.

About you
n
We're looking for an experienced Mathematics Teacher who is confident in their craft and excited by the opportunity to do things differently. You don't have to be a tradie to teach at The Industry School.
n
You'll be someone who:
n
n
Brings strong mathematics knowledge and classroom experience
n
Can make mathematics practical, engaging and relevant to young people
n
Enjoys connecting classroom learning with real-world situations and industry
n
Builds genuine relationships and knows that connection comes before learning
n
Has high expectations while understanding that every young person takes a different path
n
Is confident adapting their teaching to students with different abilities, backgrounds and aspirations
n
Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing ideas beyond their own classroom
n
Wants to be part of a school that is continually evolving and challenging traditional approaches to education
n

Most importantly, you'll believe that every young person can succeed when learning has purpose.

What you'll do
n
You'll be responsible for delivering quality Mathematics programs that engage students and achieve strong learning outcomes, while contributing to the broader educational and vocational experience of our young people.
n
This includes:
n
n
Planning and delivering engaging Mathematics curriculum and assessment programs
n
Creating learning experiences that connect mathematical concepts to real-world applications
n
Supporting students to build confidence, capability and independence in Mathematics
n
Developing positive, respectful relationships with young people and creating a safe and motivating learning workplace
n
Working collaboratively with colleagues, industry partners, parents and the wider school community
n
Using innovative approaches to respond to the individual needs and goals of students
n
Maintaining high standards of curriculum delivery, assessment, documentation and compliance
n
Contributing to the ongoing development and evaluation of quality teaching and learning programs
n
Supporting the wellbeing and holistic development of young people
n
n
You'll also work in accordance with the AITSL Professional Standards for Teachers and contribute positively to the culture and direction of The Industry School.

What you'll bring
n
n
Bachelor's degree or higher
n
Current QCT registration, or provisional registration with eligibility for full registration
n
Right to work in Australia
n
n
We'd particularly love to hear from you if you have:

Strong experience teaching Mathematics in Years *****
n
A track record of engaging students who may not thrive in a traditional classroom environment
n
Experience connecting learning to vocational pathways,
careers or industry
n
A practical, creative approach to teaching Mathematics

Strong communication, organisation and relationship‐building skills
