We are looking for an experienced and passionate radio newsreader to join our Nova
Entertainment/Smooth
FM newsroom in a casual capacity, with opportunities to work across both brands and support network-wide coverage.
n
We welcome applications from candidates based in Melbourne who can identify and deliver stories that resonate with local audiences, while contributing to national news coverage when required.
n
You will work independently but be fully supported by a team of experienced newsreaders and journalists across the national network to ensure news content is current, accurate and consistent.

WorkingArrangements:

Experience in a regional or metro radio newsroom (essential)
n
Passion for news and current affairs with a news presenting voice to suit the Nova brand
n
Robust understanding of local, national and international news affecting the community
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
n
Accuracy and excellent attention to detail
n
Competent in broadcast systems
n
Effective time management and deadline management skills
n
Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
NewsBoss and Zetta experience preferred
n
Accesstofirstclassequipment
