Arpro Lifts and Escalators is seeking a skilled and dedicated Escalator Technician to join our growing team in Sydney, NSW.
This is a full-time position, where you will be responsible for the installation, repair and servicing of escalators across a diverse range of commercial and public installations throughout the Sydney region.
You will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety, reliability and optimal performance of escalators.
Key responsibilities
Install, inspect, and repair escalators to manufacturers' specifications and industry safety standards
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in escalator systems
Perform emergency repairs and callout support to minimise downtime for clients
Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all work completed
Communicate effectively with clients regarding work completed, findings and recommendations
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and best practices on site
Collaborate with team members and contribute to the overall success of project deliverables
What we're looking for
A recognised trade qualification or apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or a related field, with relevant industry experience.
Proven experience as an escalator technician or in a similar maintenance and repair role within the lift and escalator industry
Sound knowledge of escalator mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulics and safety mechanisms
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment
A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various work sites across Sydney




Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards
Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Current or willingness to obtain relevant certifications such as Working at Heights and First Aid
Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry equipment, work at heights and in confined spaces
