We are seeking an experienced

Job Description
n
We are seeking an experienced Charge Up Operator to join our Production team. As an integral member, you will be responsible for carrying out underground charge-up activities in accordance with legislative requirements and site procedures to ensure safe and efficient blasting operations.
n
Working on a 7/7 days & nights rotational roster, this position is available on a residential, DIDO or FIFO basis from Brisbane or Sydney.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Connecting detonation systems, sets up detonators, wiring, or electronic initiation systems to ensure controlled blasting.
n
Safely loading explosives into drilled holes for blasting.
n
Following blast designs, working from engineering plans and technical drawings that specify hole depth, explosive quantity, and timing.
n
Communicating effectively with supervisors and other operators to prepare for firing.
n
Preparing and cleaning work areas, checking ground conditions and ensures the stope is ready for safe blasting.

Qualifications
n
About You:
n
n
A minimum of two years demonstrated underground charge-up experience.
n
Blasting Explosives User Licence (BEUL) and (UHL) essential.
n
Strong commitment to safety, health and environment.
n
Working at Heights and Elevating Work Platform (desired).
n
Previous experience operating an MCU or similar blast product delivery vehicle (desired).
n
Experience with electronic blasting systems (advantageous).
n
Security Clearance for explosives essential.
n
The ability to ensure safety compliance by strictly following mine safety procedures, handling explosives carefully, and checking for hazards.
n
