Electromagnetic Compatibility Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in EMC absorber development, EMC shielding, and EMC simulation. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding team and work with cutting-edge technology.

The position within the University has been created to assist with a local organisation who are focused on the EMC sector and in particular the environments used for testing.
n
This is an initial fixed 24 month contract.
n
Role & Responsibilities:
n
n
Lead the design and development of new EMC products.
n
Cary out simulations and modelling of prototype products.
n
Develop, modify, and implement hardware/software.
n
Perform tests and measurements (including Shielding Effectiveness) during product design, development and production.
n
Keep all test equipment calibrated
n




Collaborate with other departments to ensure all stakeholders are kept informed and on board.
n
Identify and evaluate new EMC technologies.
n
Maintain and update knowledge of EMC standards and regulations.
n
Carry out all duties in accordance with ISO****
n

Requirements:
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
n
Experience in EMC test and measurement equipment.
n
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to work in a quick-paced environment.
n
Familiarity with EMC standards and regulations.
n
Requirement to be Security Cleared
