An opportunity has presented itself for a Terminal Operator Level 4 / Yard Locomotive Driver to join our team in Tennyson, QLD.
n
What You'll Do
n
Support the safe and efficient operation of our rail terminal through locomotive driving, train assembly activities and freight handling responsibilities.
n
Reporting to the Supervisor you will:
n
n
Drive locomotives and perform shunting activities within the yard precinct
n
Coordinate, assemble and dismantle trains to meet operational requirements
n
Operate forklifts to support terminal and freight handling activities
n
Conduct train examinations and brake testing activities
n
Process operational documentation and freight movements using computer-based systems
n
Maintain compliance with rail safety procedures,



policies and safe working practices
n
Contribute to a 24/7 operation working rotating shifts including weekends and nights
n

What You'll Bring

Shunt Driver accreditation
n
Current Heavy Forklift Licence
n
Current High Risk CV Licence
n
Current unrestricted Driver's Licence
n
Experience undertaking train inspections and brake testing activities
n
Robust commitment to safety and operational compliance
n
Sound computer skills and ability to use operational systems
n
Strong teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills
