Greencross North Lakes is a busy and well-established small animal clinic with a loyal client base and strong community connections.

We care primarily for dogs and cats, with the occasional pocket pet, and offer a wide variety of medical, surgical, and preventative healthcare services.

About the Role
n
As Practice Manager, you'll play a key leadership role in the day-to-day operation and long-term success of the clinic.
n
You'll work closely with the Veterinary Director, nursing team, and regional leadership to create an environment where people thrive, clients receive exceptional service, and patients receive outstanding care.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Leading and supporting the nursing and reception teams
n
Creating and maintaining a positive, engaged workplace culture
n
Managing rostering, workflow, and team coordination
n
Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and team development
n
Monitoring clinic performance and key business metrics
n
Supporting client service excellence and patient care standards
n
Managing stock control and inventory processes
n
Ensuring clinic compliance and operational standards are maintained
n
Working closely with the Vet Director and regional leadership team
n
Driving team engagement, retention, and career development
n
Identifying opportunities to improve clinic operations and efficiency
n
Providing hands-on nursing or reception support where required
n
n

About You
n
We're looking for someone who:
n
n
Has previous Practice Manager, Head Nurse, or veterinary leadership experience
n




Has a strong background working within the veterinary industry
n
Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification (highly regarded)
n
Has strong people leadership and coaching skills
n
Demonstrates excellent organisational and time-management abilities
n
Has experience managing teams, workflows, and clinic operations
n
Is a confident communicator who builds strong relationships with clients and colleagues
n
Is proactive, solutions-focused, and adaptable
n
Has strong business acumen and attention to detail
n
Thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
n
