Role Description
The Works Supervisor is a contract, on-site role based in Griffith, NSW, responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction and maintenance activities across assigned projects.
This role coordinates site operations, supervises trades and subcontractors, and ensures work is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with quality and compliance standards.
The Works Supervisor monitors progress, conducts site inspections, and reports on project status, risks, and resource needs to project management and stakeholders.
Daily tasks include planning work sequences, verifying materials and workmanship,



enforcing health, safety, and environmental procedures, and resolving site issues promptly.
The position also involves liaising with clients, inspectors, and internal teams, maintaining detailed records, and supporting continuous improvement in site processes and outcomes.
Qualifications
Strong site supervision and construction management capabilities, including coordinating trades, scheduling works, and monitoring progress against project plans.
Sound knowledge of building codes, standards, WHS requirements, and quality assurance practices in residential, commercial, and civil construction environments.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, with attention to detail in workmanship and materials.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams, and to resolve on-site issues constructively.
Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate site documentation, including daily records, reports, permits, and compliance logs.
Competence with basic digital tools and project-related software for reporting, scheduling, and documentation.
Relevant trade qualification or certificate, or a background in construction supervision, building, or civil works; further training in WHS or site management is an advantage.
