This Aboriginal Identified Civil Construction Design Traineeship program will be based in Parkes, commencing in February ****, an exciting opportunity to launch your career with Transport for NSW!

No previous experience is required.
You'll receive comprehensive training, earn while you learn and develop in-demand skills through real, hands‐on experience within an NSW government agency.
About you:
You identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
You have completed Year 12 or hold a Higher School Certificate (or equivalent).
You are ready to commence full time employment in February ****
You have reliable transport to travel to the office or depot.
You have strong verbal and written communication skills.
You are willing to learn and can manage your time and priorities effectively
You have demonstrated familiarity using corporate computing systems and applications or the ability to learn new systems with ease
You demonstrate teamwork and maintain a positive, accountable approach in all you do
You take pride in consistently delivering your best across school, work, and personal life
You proactively seek opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges
You manage your time effectively and stay organised to meet your commitments

full time Traineeship
Certificate IV in Civil Construction Design through a structured TAFE course
Practical, on-the-job experience to apply what you learn

Rates of payaredependent on the year you completed year 12 (or the equivalent), please see below for details:

Recruitment Timeline:
To support a smooth and efficient hiring process, below is an overview of the anticipated recruitment timeline.
Once applications close, the Talent team will review all submissions for shortlisting.




A virtual information session will be held for shortlisted candidates only on Tuesday 24 November at 4:00 PM and Friday 27 November at 10:00 AM.
Shortlisted candidates will receive an email invitation and are required to attend one of the sessions.
Face-to-face interviews will take place during November ****.
Candidates that meet requirements at interview will progress to pre-employment checks.
A talent pool may be created for future roles over the next 18 months.
If you are assessed as suitable and a vacancy becomes available, you may be contacted to complete pre-employment checks.
