An established Tier 2 commercial head contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Revit Design Documenter to join its in-house design team.
Operating for more than 15 years, the business has built a strong reputation across the Sydney commercial fit-out market, delivering high-quality workplace projects for a well-established client base.
A significant proportion of its work comes from repeat clients, reflecting the strength of its relationships and reputation in the market.
The Role
Working as part of an established in-house design team, you will focus predominantly on the documentation and technical delivery of commercial workplace fit-out projects.
You will work closely with the wider design, estimating, pre-construction and project delivery teams to take projects from developed design through to detailed construction documentation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Producing detailed architectural and interior construction documentation using Revit
Developing drawing packages for commercial workplace fit-out projects
Preparing plans, elevations, sections, details and joinery documentation
Translating design concepts into accurate and buildable documentation
Coordinating architectural documentation with consultants and subcontractors
Reviewing drawings and resolving documentation and coordination issues
Incorporating consultant information and project revisions into drawing packages
Liaising closely with Designers, Project Managers and site teams throughout delivery
Ensuring documentation is accurate, coordinated and issued in accordance with project programmes
Assisting with design development and technical problem-solving where required
Maintaining drawing standards and documentation quality across projects
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Strong experience using Revit in a professional architectural, interiors or construction environment
Previous exposure to commercial workplace fit-out projects
A sound understanding of construction detailing, materials and buildability
Strong technical documentation and coordination skills
The ability to interpret design intent and translate it into accurate construction drawingsExcellent attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced project environment
Experience working within a commercial head contractor, design and construct business or workplace interiors practice would be highly regarded.
