This senior role offers the opportunity to influence how complex financial and operational information is transformed into meaningful insights for government.
Working with executives, policy professionals and stakeholders across Treasury, you will help drive the evolution of analytical capabilities, support more informed decision‐making and contribute to some of Queensland Government's most significant financial and strategic priorities.
In This Role, You Will
Drive complex analytical initiatives that support government priorities, long‐term planning and financial decision‐making.
Create innovative dashboards, reporting solutions and business intelligence products that improve how information is understood and used.
Provide leadership and guidance on contemporary analytics practices, helping others maximise the value of data.
Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting capabilities to better support organisational objectives.
Present complex information in a way that is engaging, meaningful and accessible to a wide range of audiences.
Build solid partnerships with stakeholders to understand emerging needs and deliver practical, value‐adding solutions.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting high standards of information quality, integrity and responsible data management.
What Experience You Will Bring
Experience leading complex analytics initiatives that have influenced business, financial or strategic outcomes.
Strong capability in business intelligence and data visualisation, with expertise in tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel and Power Query.
The ability to transform complex information into clear insights and recommendations that support decision‐making.
Proven success building trusted stakeholder relationships and influencing outcomes across diverse business areas.
Experience promoting sound governance, risk awareness and information management practices within data‐driven environments.
A strategic mindset, curiosity and commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
