ROLE DESCRIPTION




The Junior Project Manager – Commercial Construction is a full-time, on-site role based in Caringbah, NSW.
Working within GRAVIS and alongside the wider VG Group team, this position supports the planning, coordination and delivery of mid-tier commercial and industrial construction projects, the kind of live-site, rapid-turnaround work GRAVIS is known for.
Recent projects delivered by the GRAVIS team include a $10M 24-hour truck stop and service centre in Gunnedah and a zero-downtime HVAC upgrade at Rhodes Waterside, work completed under VG Group prior to GRAVIS's launch as a standalone construction brand.
Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with project scheduling, tracking milestones, preparing status reports, and maintaining project documentation and registers.
The role also involves estimating, supporting procurement and expediting activities, coordinating inspections, liaising with contractors and suppliers, and helping manage site logistics to ensure materials and services are delivered on time.
The Junior Project Manager will also contribute to risk identification, quality assurance, compliance and process improvement initiatives while maintaining GRAVIS and VG Group standards for safety, quality and client service.
QUALIFICATIONS




Approximately five years' post-qualification experience in project management or contract administration on commercial construction projects in Australia
5+ years of construction industry experience
Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
Demonstrated delivery experience on projects in the range of approximately $5M to $30M
Working knowledge of Australian Standard construction contracts and the NSW Security of Payment regime
Familiarity with the NSW planning and approvals framework, including DAs, Construction Certificates, Occupation Certificates and s4.55 modifications
Ability to read and interrogate civil, structural, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical documentation and specifications
Competence in a project management platform such as Procore or equivalent, programming software such as MS Project or Asta, Excel, and Bluebeam or equivalent
Current White Card
Current NSW driver licence and willingness to travel to and stay overnight at regional project sites
Unrestricted right to work in Australia
