I'm working closely with a tier contractor in the infrastructure and energy space seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer for large-scale LNG, CSG, and pipeline projects in the Surat Basin.
This FIFO 19:9 role offers full involvement from mobilisation to completion, reporting to the Project Manager and leading planning, technical delivery, and on-site coordination.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll bridge design and construction teams, ensuring solutions are implemented safely, on time, and within budget.
You'll report to the Project Manager or Lead Engineer and oversee junior engineers and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead engineering review & coordination across civil, mechanical, structural, piping, and electrical disciplines
Ensure compliance with project specs, codes, and client requirements
Provide on-site technical support for EPC contractors, resolving queries and reviewing as-built drawings
Assist project scheduling,



track milestones, and identify risks
Support procurement and material submittals
Maintain HSE compliance, participate in risk assessments, and mentor junior staff
Prepare reports, documentation, and progress updates
About you:
Degree qualified in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
5+ years' experience in construction, civil, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects
HDPE, pipeline, or gas/oil lease work experience highly regarded
Strong communicator with proven technical, construction & project management skills
Confident interpreting designs and ensuring accurate field execution
Team player comfortable in a rapid-paced FIFO environment
